Papa'aina

Papa'aina located at the historic Pioneer Inn in Old Town Lahaina, Maui offers a seasonal menu from Top Chef Lee Anne Wong, highlighting ingredients from local farmers, ranchers, fishermen, and other Hawaiian based food producers to create a unique farm-to table experience. We went there for Brunch for our last full day on the island.

To jump start the day, Keith ordered a Nitro Cold Brew from a local company called Origin Coffee Roasters.  He does not drink coffee normally, and found it to be a bit strong.

I ordered the Daily Omelette - today featuring caramelized Maui onions, oyster mushrooms, tomato confit, and smoked gouda cheese.  Served with crispy potatoes and toast, this dish was pretty classic and filling.

Keith ordered the Catch Benedict made with thick pieces of orange marlin served with a miso mustard hollandaise, avocado mash, herb smashed potatoes and local greens.

We also shared the Lilikoi Coffee Cake served with a macadamia nut streusel.  It was delicious!

From the food to the service, everything was great at Papa'aina.  I loved the vibe of the all-wood bar and open windows.
