Barbetta Restaurant

Last date I was here: 12/22/2006

Restaurant: Barbetta Restaurant (http://www.barbettarestaurant.com/home.html/)

Location: NYC – Theatre District

Total Rating: 3.6
Food: 3, Price: 4, Service: 5, Ambience: 5, Accessibility: 3

Summary: Barbetta, having celebrated its 100th Anniversary in 2006, is the oldest restaurant in
New York that is still owned by the family that founded it. Barbetta is also the oldest
Italian restaurant in New York, and the oldest restaurant in New York's Theatre District.

Decorated exquisitely and reminiscent of an old dramatic theater house, Barbetta caters to the pre-show crowd offering prix fixe menus. We tried this place while we were visiting New York for the holidays and I must say the food was a little disappointing. Other diners ranged from senior couples to family parties with children. I would not recommend this restaurant to others as there are a million more in the city more worth it.

What I ate:

Ceasar Salad

Roasted Chicken
