Beach House

Gracious Hawaiian service and innovative Pacific Rim cuisine are complimented by breathtaking oceanfront views at the Beach House Restaurant in Kauai. Owners Roy Dunn and Mike Hooks work closely with Executive Chef Marshall Blanchard and General Manager Tim Obert to insure that their vision for the Beach House is reflected in every aspect of the restaurant.

Kauai Food Truck

Kauai Food Truck (previously Kanaloa's Lunch Wagon) was owned by Kalani & Dana Palama who were known for lots of local favorites on their menu.  Serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner options featuring Hawaiian, American, and Mexican cuisine, this laid back truck offers great meals at incredibly cheap prices.  Look for the truck parked in the heart of Koloa Town at the historical site of the Ole' Mill - such a beautiful outdoor site for a great lunch down in sunny Koloa Town.

Koloa Fish Market

Located across from the Koloa Post Office in Old Town Koloa in Kauai, Koloa Fish Market offers Hawaiian, American and local meals to go.  Find fresh local fish, sashimi, seared ahi, smoked marlin, assorted appetizers platters, assorted salads, soft drinks and juices.

Plantation Gardens

Plantation Gardens is located in a beautifully restored plantation manor located at Poipu Beach on the sunny south side of Kauai. Dating back to the 1930's, the estate once served as the plantation manager's home for Hawaii's first sugar plantation, the Koloa plantation. Later, the estate was acquired by the Moir Family who built the world famous gardens that surround the restaurant. The menu reflects the heritage of old plantation Hawaii, which celebrates the abundance and beauty of the Hawaiian Islands and features Pacific Rim cuisine with regional Hawaiian influence. Outdoor lanai seating, handcrafted tropical drinks and specialty cocktails, and complimentary parking is available.

Pomodoro

Pomodoro is a charming, cozy, small cafe in Kalaheo, Kauai. Family-owned and run, the chefs are brothers Tony and Rosario. Tony’s wife Gerry is a gracious hostess and will seat you and make sure you are cared for throughout your meal. It’s a long way from Kauai to Salerno, Italy, but one taste of Pomodoro's Old World cuisine can transport you from the Garden Island to romantic Italy in seconds.

Koloa Shave Ice

Koloa Shave Ice is located in Old Koloa Town on Kauai and serves traditional, hand shaven shave ice.  It is tucked behind the main strip of souvenir shops, so don't overlook it.  Prices are a bit higher and the presentation a little different than I am used to from the shave ice stands I grew up with in Oahu, but this was pretty authentic and hit the spot on a hot day.

Shrimp Station

The Shrimp Station is a full service speciality shrimp restaurant that originated in beautiful Waimea in Kauai, where I stopped for lunch after visiting Waimea Canyon. Their newest second location is right in the heart of Kapa'a across the Chevron station. You’ll smell the incredible aroma of garlic and spices as you approach on the highway, and it’s a great place to stop before or after touring the Westside. They offer a wide variety of shrimp dishes including Coconut Shrimp, Garlic Shrimp, Cajun Shrimp, Thai Shrimp, Shrimp Tacos, Shrimp Burgers, and more.
