Keith and I stopped in after visiting a museum. It was a gorgeous day, so after grabbing one empanada each and a drink we walked across the street to sit in the Dupont Circle park. My empanada was piping hot and a generous snack size. Similar to a calzone, the filling was very flavorful and fresh, yet I would have preferred just a bit more cheese. They also offer fruit filled empanadas which would make a great dessert or even breakfast item. I would highly recommend Julia's for those looking for a quick bite on the go.
