Molly's Cupcakes

With two locations (one in NYC and one in Chicago), Molly's Cupcakes is named for Miss Molly, the cupcakery's founder's third-grade teacher who would bake cupcakes for everyone's birthday. In honor of Molly and as a way to help our children, a portion of their profits is donated directly to schools in the community.

Molly's bakes thier cupcakes from scratch in small batches everyday and throughout the day. They use only the finest and freshest ingredients. At Molly's you can create your very own cupcake. Pick a cake flavor, choose a frosting and then dress it up with our tasty toppings. They'll make it right in front of you. You can also try one of our famous center-filled cupcakes. If that isn't enough, visit the Sprinkle Station. There, you can decorate your cupcake with lots of colorful finishing touches.

We trekked up to Lincoln Park one early Saturday morning just to try the famous Ron Benington cupcake. I also got my favorite, red velvet. Both were incredibly dense, yet moist cakes with thick frosting. The peanut butter was a little overpowering for me, but Keith devoured it. The cream cheese frosting on my cupcake was delish! A little pricey compared to other cupcakeries I've tried. But this shop is so darling and the staff hip and friendly, that I would recommend it to others.
