Del Frisco's Grille is buzzing with excitement in the heart of the nation's capital between the U.S. Capitol and the White House on Pennsylvania Avenue. With several locations around the country, this American grill sits along wide, tree-lined sidewalks that brim with the energy of locals who live and work in this DC neighborhood, as well as visitors from all over the globe. Closest Metro is Federal Triangle.

We were invited to check out their private dining spaces and sample a few popular menu items. The rooms are sleek featuring a 5,000-bottle wine wall, raw metal fixtures, and lighting elements designed to mimic D.C. avenues and traffic circles.
Keith really enjoyed the
Filet Mignon Steak Sliders made with their prime choice beef. The buns held up to the meat and toppings, which is a bonus for items you have to eat with your hands.
A favorite of mine were the
Ahi Tacos made with chunky tuna tartare, avocado, and topped with a spicy citrus mayo. The fish was high quality, and the taco shell had great crunch - providing the overall perfect bite.
Another tasty seafood-lovers appetizer was the
Jumbo Lump Crabcake served with a Cajun lobster sauce on a toasted crostini. While the lump crab meat was evident, the orange sauce on top tasted the same as the sauce on the ahi tuna.
Lastly, Keith sampled the house-proclaimed star item -
Cheesesteak Eggrolls with a sweet & spicy chili Sauce and honey mustard. The eggrolls were a bit greasy, but had lots of flavor. We could see how this item would be a crowd pleaser.
Check out Del Frisco's Grille for Valentine's Day specials, and indulge in their
Red Velvet Waffle Ice Cream Sandwich (drool!)... also consider them for your
private events. When the weather warms up, Del Frisco's Grille will be opening their outdoor patio seating area. The space can fit up to 150 people and has prime views along Pennsylvania Avenue.
