***TOP 10 in DC - 2017 Favorites of What Micky Eats***

Out of nearly 50 new restaurants that I've dined at across the globe this past year, here is my list of Top 10 restaurants in DC from 2017. The ranking is based purely on the total scores received. 1. La Puerta Verde (4.73) - we ordered the Mole Verde con Pollo ($20) - roasted chicken breast on top of a green pepita mole, with grilled onions and cactus salad served with cilantro rice and vegetarian black beans. 4. Kith & Kin (4.43) - I enjoyed the vegetarian option called Mushroom Forest that included a mushroom spread with charred eggplant dip topped with roasted and pickled mushrooms, and served with crispy msmen - a flaky Moroccan flat bread made with flour, semolina, olive oil, and butter. This dish was deceptively filling, super earthy with loads of umami, and paired great with a glass of white blend wine...Read More

9. Arroz (4.18) - Overall, I loved the Spanish/Moroccan ingredients used in the dishes. Service was excellent; very attentive and accommodating. Though the restaurant is in a hotel, the cuisine is much more eclectic than typical hotel offerings, which I very much appreciated...Read More
