Summary: DC Noodles is a new Asian noodle house replacing two formerly known restaurants. They have reinvented their interior and menu to provide a new and more casual dining experience. The adjoining retail store has also changed and is now called Stem, featuring men and women's fashion and accessories by designer Nannapat Pollert of Thailand. Currently offering over 40 noodle combinations, DC Noodles serve authentic Thai recipes in a contemporary setting. Closest Metro is U Street – Cordozo.
We stopped in for lunch one hot summer day and although it was crowded, we were seated right away in a back table. We sipped on refreshing Thai ice tea drinks as we waited for our entrees. All in all, the service was to be expected during the busy rush hour and our food was tasty. My Pad Thai was a little on the sweet side for “authentic Thai” and a little on the small side for the $9 price tag, although Keith’s dish had enough spice to satisfy his taste buds. I might stop in again if I was in the neighborhood, but would not make the trek otherwise.
What I ate:
Pad Thai
with Tofu and Vegetables
Plus Keith ate:
Drunken Noodles
with Beef
