Summary: Vigilucci's Ristorante Coronado features an exceptional menu of certified prime steaks, fresh seafood and Italian favorites, complemented by an outstanding wine list. The restaurant's patio overlooks bustling Orange Avenue, while indoors, elegant decor including a wall-to-wall waterfall, ocean and Point Loma views, and a cozy lounge with piano bar enhance the dining experience.

This was Keith's last night in Coronado with me and we went to Vigilucci's for dinner. The dining area was pretty with a waterfall and painted frescoes on the walls. Our server was friendly and told us the night's specials with his thick Italian accent. We ordered a bottle of wine with our meal and since we had already eaten a lot that day, we took our time. The staff did not seem to mind our extended stay and I did not feel rushed as I would expect from other places. Overall, I enjoyed my meal - some of the dishes were a tad heavy on the salt, but there was great flavor and variety on the menu. I would definitely come back to Vigilucci's again.
What I ate:

Bruschetta
with ricotta, tomato, basil, and wrapped with prosciutto

Pappardelle con Funghi Porcini e Capesante
Wide ribbon pasta with porcini, shiitake, portobellio, field mushrooms
and pan-seared scallops in a white truffle and brandy cream sauce

Plus Keith ate:
Aragosta alla Diavola
Half Maine lobster, clams and mussels served over spaghetti
sautéed in a zesty tomato sauce with garlic and white wine
