Beach Club

Beach Club Restaurant at the Aston Ka'anapali Shores in Maui overlooks the pool and beach and is casual in the day and lighted with candlelight and torches at night.  They feature delicious American and Pacific Rim Cuisine at affordable prices with generous portions and service with extra "aloha".

Keith and I ate here almost every morning while in Maui because of it's convenient location and great deals. On Day 1, we started off our day with a big breakfast of a spinach and mushroom omelette for me and the local style fried rice platter for Keith.  Although the spinach in mine was clearly frozen and lacked seasoning, the portion was huge and especially filling with the side of potatoes and toast.  Keith loved his fried rice with eggs and sausage and bacon.  The only criticism he had, was that he wished there was less rice ratio to eggs and meat.  But it had super flavor and was very filling as well.  The perfect start before we headed off to explore the island.

The next day we returned for breakfast to fuel up as we had a snorkel trip planned for the afternoon.  This time I chose a traditional short stack of pancakes and opted for a side of fruit salad to lighten it up a bit.  This was more than enough for me as the pancakes were giant, and even though only 2 pieces, I could not finish it all.  Keith went for another local breakfast favorite, the Loco Moco -  a hamburger patty over rice with two eggs and mushroom gravy, which was a bit more heavy and less flavorful than the fried rice platter he enjoyed the day before.

On Day 3, we skipped breakfast here and instead grabbed lunch as a midday retreat from the sun.  I was having fun lounging poolside, and decided to treat myself with a tropical Lava Flow - basically a pina colada with a splash of strawberry on top. It was super thick like a milkshake and sweet so that I could not taste any alcohol.  To counterbalance, I ordered a healthier smoked turkey and avocado wrap in a spinach tortilla. The meat was hot, shaved and lacked salt, but I enjoyed the extra lettuce inside which gave great crunch.  Keith ordered a classic cheeseburger with fries which satisfied him until dinner time.

Finally, on our last day in Maui, we ate breakfast here one last time before catching our flight to Kauai.  I went for the ham & cheese omelette while Keith ate french toast made from Portuguese sweet bread.  He also ordered a side of Portuguese sausage, since he had not tried it yet, and found it to be similar to Polish kielbasa sausage that he is so fond of.  Overall, we enjoyed all our meals at the Beach Club. Although nothing out of this world, each meal was comforting and the location could not be beat as we were staying in this hotel.  So it was super convenient to start the day off quickly, charge expenses to the room, and also have somewhere to go during a day of swimming at the pool or beach.
