Inside Eastern Market

Eastern Market is Washington DC's oldest continually operated fresh food public market. Located in the heart of the historic Capitol Hill neighborhood, Eastern Market is DC's destination for fresh food, community events, and on weekends, local farm fresh produce and handmade arts and crafts.  Closest Metro is Eastern Market.

Every day of the week, South Hall Market buzzes with activity as 13 different indoor merchants sell the finest meats, poultry, seafood, produce, pasta, baked goods, flowers, and cheeses. I took a few photos of some of the various items you can find...

Fresh baked goods. The pies are amazing!
Local butcher.
Calomiris always keep their stand so beautifully organized.

Keith's favorite deli. The chicken sausage is delicious.

Elegant fresh pasta options.

Try the blue/buck pancakes - go early though as the crowds line up fast!
