Over the course of her career, Lara has participated in several cake decorating courses to perfect her cake making and decorations skills, working under world-renowned cake designer Colette Peters of Colette’s Cakes in New York City. She completed the Fundamental Pastry Techniques Course at L’Academie de Cuisine in 2004, and has also taken classes with Bronwyn Weber and Ron Ben Israel. Her talents are nationally recognized as Lara has been featured on the Food Network Challenge “Best in Show Cakes” episode on February 2011. Fluffy Thoughts Cakes has been named “Bride’s Choice” by WeddingWire.com, 2010-2013.
