At Home: Ribs with Barbeque Sauce

As my residential meat-lover, Keith has a homemade barbeque sauce that he makes only with ribs.  It is a spin off a version his father made and Keith has tweaked here and there over the years.  This next installment of What Micky Eats...At Home features Keith's Ribs with Barbeque Sauce made in one of my favorite kitchen tools, the crock-pot.  But you can also bake these in the oven and still get a juicy-finger-licking tangy dish.

Ribs with Barbeque Sauce
  • Pork ribs
  • ½ onion, sliced
Barbeque Sauce:
  • 1½ cup of ketchup
  • 2 Tbsp of vinegar
  • ½ Tbsp garlic powder
  • ½ Tbsp parsley
  • ½ Tbsp oregano
  • ½ Tbsp black pepper
  • 3 Tbsp chili powder
  • paprika, to taste
  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Tbsp mustard
  • hot sauce and/or cayenne pepper, to taste

- Place ribs in a layer on bottom of crock-pot. Top with onions.
- Mix all the sauce ingredients and pour over ribs.
- Cook for 2 – 3 hours on slow until very tender.
