Neighborfood is an afternoon celebration of food, family, and the community we live in coordinated by the folks behind Dishcrawl. A neighborhood is defined by the community within it, so, for one afternoon, we will be inviting your neighbors to live it, love it, and eat in it, because as Virginia Woolf said "One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well." The next crawl is on Saturday, June 29th, and features 8 different restaurants along the H Street Corridor which are all within walking distance. And the lovely Dishcrawl team has generously donated two tickets to one of my readers! The giveaway contest has ended.
Your General Admission ticket includes food or a drink at one participating restaurant; you can always get more Food/Drink Tickets at the event. Check in is from 1:30pm to 4:30pm at Smith Commons and the restaurants will be serving from 2pm to 5:30pm. Make sure to arrive early!
Neighborfood (H Street Corridor/The Atlas District) Current Featured Restaurants:
Smith Commons: Curried potato and English pea puff with lite coconut curry sauce. Drink Special: Afternoons on H Street (Raspberry Purre, lime juice, Rosemary simple syrup, shaken and poured over ice and topped with a splash of Ginger ale.)
Sol Mexican Grill: Taco de Barbacoa, and Horchata.
Tru Orleans: Jambalaya with chicken, shrimp, and andouille sausage. Drink Special: Category 1 Hurricane.
The Elroy: Stuffed clams. Drink Special: Rosie Rita
Hikari Sushi: California roll, cucumber roll, and sea weed salad. Drink Special: Cold sake shot.
KitchenCray: Dishcrawl Apple Cupcake.
Sticky Rice: Godzirra roll with a side of tater tots with dipping sauce and edamame. Drink Special: A small carafe of their house Sake.
Tasty Kabob Truck: Lamb/chicken over rice.
