Magnolia's at the Mill is a premier American restaurant located in the heart of Purcellville, Virginia. After a day of exploring a few wineries in Leesburg and Purcellville, we stopped to fill our bellies with some grub to help soak up all the wine.

Since we arrived at an odd hour, only the lunch menu was available. This was fine for us and we chose a few items to share. First up, we ate Crispy Buttermilk Oysters with andouille sausage and tomato gravy, drizzled with creole cream. The oysters were creamy and meaty at the same time. I really enjoyed the chunky tomato gravy, which added lots of flavor to this starter. Next, we shared Flash Fried Calamari, prepared simply with a side of red pepper aioli. The calamari was pretty basic, but satisfying. Lastly, we shared a brick oven pizza called Tre Carni, topped with sausage, bacon, pepperoni, marinated tomatoes, and mozzarella. I was surprised by how good the combination of meats were on this pizza. We had no problem eating all the food, and continued back on the road with happy bellies.
