Summary: Situated on the Broadway Pier right on the water in Historic Fells Point, Shuckers offers indoor and outdoor waterfont dining. A popular spot for tourists, the seafood and raw bar draws in the crowd. Traditional American fare is also great for families and large groups in this casual and fun restaurant.
We went up to Baltimore this Easter weekend to catch the Yankees vs Orioles baseball game. We were unsure of the weather as thunderstorm warnings were brewing all day. Luckily, by the time we made it to Fells Point, the clouds had parted and the hot sun was beating down. We opted to sit outside in the shade to enjoy the view. Service was average as was the food. Although the crab cakes were pretty decent with lump crab meat, I was not impressed at all with my fried oysters. They tasted like they were frozen ones you could buy in the supermarket. A little disappointing so I would eat at any of the other seafood restaurants along the waterfront.
What I ate:
Petite Crab Cakes
three petite hand crafted crab cakes served with tartare sauce
Fried Oyster Caesar Salad
a bed of crisp Romaine lettuce tossed in a light Caesar dressing
topped with homemade croutons, boiled egg, shaved pecorino Romano cheese
and topped with hand breaded fried oysters
Plus Keith ate:
Oyster Po' Boy Sandwich
served with lettuce, tomato, remoulade sauce and French Fries
