Peacock Café

Peacock Café is a contemporary American restaurant and bar located in the heart of Georgetown. It is one of the friendliest restaurants and bars to enjoy an eclectic menu that offers something for everyone, including our Gluten-Free friends.
The tremendous popularity of the Peacock Happy Day Brunch is legendary. The breakfast and brunch selections present wonderful variety for the entire family. There is a new selection of fresh, spectacular desserts every day. Catering available in Northern Virginia, Maryland & Georgetown Washington DC. Closest Metro is Foggy Bottom.

We joined several friends here for dinner in order to celebrate our friend’s birthday. Kerry is allergic to gluten and so it was a joy to see so many gluten-free items on Peacock’s menu. Our group of ten were seated towards the back of the dark dining room.  Large scale fashion pictures adorned the wall, spotlighted by bright red lights that created an eerie vibe.  Our server did well for the large group, refilling our drinks appropriately and always accommodating the birthday girl first. He even brought out a gluten-free birthday dessert for her with candles and the whole works, which was a sweet touch.  The food had mixed reviews around the table.  Although everyone agreed the food was tasty, hearty, with quality ingredients - some found their entree to be a bit bland and many reached for the salt and pepper.  I felt that way about our appetizer of tuna tartar, but really enjoyed my entree of swordfish.  It arrived piping hot and my fish was cooked just right.  The vegetables were tender, fresh, and vibrant in colors. Overall, I enjoyed my meal and found Peacock's offerings to be on the healthier side, which is a great option to have.  Make easy reservations to Peacock Cafe on CityEats.
