Cuts Steakhouse

A new addition to the Downtown Atlanta dining district, Cuts Steakhouse offers a variety of Southern inspired cuisine. With a variety of dining options within the restaurant, guest can choose between the main dining areas, semi-private/private areas, main bar, patio or the Sports Bar at Cuts located in the upper bar area. Whether you desire an intimate dining experience at a table near the fireplace, private party for your business or personal event or an opportunity to catch the game with a group of friends, Cuts Steakhouse has you covered.

After walking around a bit, we settled on Cuts as it looked fairly new and was off the main touristy path.  We were seated right away in the main dining room next to the fire place.  The decor was very upscale and our server informed us several times how new she was, as was the restaurant itself.

Classic steak fare and sides are offered, but I chose a house special - Shrimp & Grits.  This preparation of garlic sauteed shrimp with tomato and scallion on top of cheddar grits was clean, flavorful, and probably the best version of shrimp & grits I've ever had.  I devoured my plate.

Overall, the quality of food was impressive but the service needs improvement.  Little things stood out that need to be worked on, such as notifying of the night's specials before everyone has already ordered, knowing when to clear plates, presenting new silverware, etc.  Having been open only a couple months, their groove will come with time.  Cuts Steakhouse is sure to be a hot during the warmer months as well, as they have a nice sized outdoor seating area.
