For a limited time this month, Giant is featuring New Limited Time Originals Salted Caramel products that are sweet and salty, smooth and creamy.
Caramel candies are made by boiling sugar until it turns a light brown color, then mixing in cream, butter, and vanilla. Once the mix cools down, it becomes flexible and chewy. Salted caramel is made by sprinkling fleur de sel, or any other sea salt on top of the concoction. Giant has harnessed that flavor and infused it into more than 30 products that customers can find throughout the store, in both the fresh and non-perishable departments.
Giant reached out to me to sample some items. My favorite is the Salted Caramel Covered in Dark Chocolate. These little squares of heaven were the perfect size for a little decadent treat. Customers can enjoy other snacks like Salted Caramel Popcorn and Salted Caramel Toffee Ice Cream to having a caramel-infused breakfast with Salted Caramel Apple Pancake & Waffle Mix and Salted Caramel Bacon.
