After visiting the “Beyond King Tut: The Immersive Experience” at the National Geographic Museum just a couple blocks away, we headed here for dinner. Keith started with the Chicken Livers which were fried whole and came with potlikker demi and topped with kale chips. The portion size was pretty generous.
For his main meal, Keith enjoyed the Crispy Fried Whole Red Snapper. It came with a side of yucca with bambara beans in a palm oil pepper sauce. He also got a side of Jollof Rice. The fish and rice were both very tasty. Keith loved the spicy sauce.
I ordered the Moi Moi - tamales stuffed with fresh mackerel and red bell peppers. It was served with a little salad of baby arugula. Though this was under the appetizer section, it was the perfect size for my main dish. The tamale was interesting - a little fishy - but overall satisfying.
