We started with Mandu to share - they come in beef, pork, or veggie and we chose the veggie. They came in a fun green wrapper and were pan fried perfectly served with a very traditional soy sauce a sesame dipping sauce.
For my main, I ordered the Gaji Bokum. Sautéed eggplant, roasted pork belly, and rice cakes are tossed in a sweet soy sauce. It was a huge portion and very tasty.
Keith ordered Galbi - sweet soy-marinated short rib served with vegetables, rice, ssam (lettuce), and ssamjang (fermented spicy sauce). The steak came sizzling on a little hot plate and was a nice thick piece. Classic banchan of various kimchis and vegetables came on the side as well.
Overall, the food was classic and tasted great. I was satisfied and happy to not have to travel out to Annandale to get some real Korean food.
